Professional Hockey Player. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, he began his professional hockey career at the age of 20. In 1979 he joined the Swedish National Team and played with them until 1980. He later was a member of the Olympic Bronze Medal winning team in 1980 and was named to the American League All-Star Team for the 1980-1981 season. He later moved to the United States and was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers as a goalie, he would play with them from 1981 to 1985. Among his many awards were, the American Hockey League's Most Valuable Player (1980-1981), the Holmes Memorial Trophy (1980-1981), the Garrett Memorial Trophy (1980-1981) and the Vezina Trophy (1985). He weighed 160lbs, was 5'9", wore #31 jersey, played in 157 games and had 7 shutouts. On the night of November 10, 1985, a heavily intoxicated Lindbergh drove his porsche into a wall at a very high rate of speed and died two days later.
