Winnie Pearl Stephens was born on October 2nd, 1895 at Suwannee, Florida to Edward Jelks Stephens and Bessie Lowe. She lived in the Pine Grove area with her siblings: Harvey L, Hattie, Jesse, Jack, Eugene, Edward Jr, and Bessie.
Winnie married Roy Garland Parnell of Suwannee and had the following children: Roy Garland Jr, Clyde and Frances Pauline. She also had a Daughter who died five days old.
Roy & Winnie and the family left Suwannee and settled in Oakland Park, Broward County, Florida
Later on Roy and Winnie divorced and Winnie remarried to John W Schomer.
On January 30th, 1984 Winnie died and was buried with her husband John at the Pompano Beach Cemetary. (Bio by TRH)
