Services for Patricia A. Boam, 69, of Fresno, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Seventh-day Adventist Asian Church. Mrs. Boam, a retired collection branch liaison with the Internal Revenue Service , died Friday. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Lisle Funeral Home. Remembrances may be sent to the Hospice of Fresno at Saint Agnes, 1111 E. Spruce Ave., Fresno 93720.
Mother of Paula Lynn Boam Maffei, Linda D Boam, Tommy, Pat and Mickie Thompson, Pat endured many hardships as she worked her way to the top at IRS. Her son Tommy was killed in a traffic accident, son Pat was paralyzed in a traffic accident, and she herself suffered a debilitating disease that limited her mobility later in life.
