Anne V. Davis Mackley, 69, of North Highland, CA, formerly of Paris, died Monday, September 5, at her home. Burial Saturday, September 10, at the Forest Chapel Cemetery.
Annie was born in Lamar County, a daughter of Thomas Jefferson Davis and Effie Lou Short. She married John Mackley on September 1, 1943. He died March 29, 1965. She was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ and was the manager of the Malm Luggage Co. before retiring.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane Duarte, and Sarah Mackley; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jill Duarte; two sisters, Clara Murley and Tommie Scott; and brother, Albert Davis.
