AURELIA, Iowa -- Edgar D. Allen, 87, of Aurelia passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with the Rev. Missy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Aurelia. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Edgar Dean Allen was born July 4, 1923, the son of Wilbur and Irma (Hiersche) Allen in Sac City, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Viola of Aurelia; three children, Mike and his wife, Judy Allen of Kingsley, Iowa, Denise Twiford and friend, Kent Husted of Sioux City, and David and his wife, Linda Allen of Boerne, Texas; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Allen of Aurelia; and a brother-in-law, Dick Edwards of Storm Lake, Iowa.
