Mrs. W. F. Bradfield

Died.--At her home, near Disco, Monday, October 14, at 9:15 o'clock, Mrs. Catharine McMannus [sic] Bradfield, aged 32 years, 6 months and 5 days, wife of W. F. Bradfield.

Such is the brief notice that announces the message that caused the young wife's spirit to wind its flight to her eternal home. Scarce had the home realized the happiness that was caused by the arrival of a sweet baby girl, ere it was filled with sorrow by the death of the dear mother.

Mrs. Bradfield was born and reared near Carthage and was a woman who was loved by all who had the pleasure to be called her friend. She taught school for a number of years and was considered as one of the brightest teachers in Hancock county. She was of a bright happy disposition and always in sympathy with those in sorrow. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Catholic choir at Carthage. Her voice will be sadly missed by many a one who was always pleased to hear it raised in prayer to her God. She was the daughter of Mrs. John Roberts, of Carthage, by whom she is survived with her husband W. F. Bradfield, of Disco, one baby daughter and her brother Thomas McMannus [sic] of Carthage.

The funeral will take place at Carthage, Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 11 o'clock. Burial at the Catholic cemetery. Friends invited.
