Mr. John J. Almeida, of Waltham, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home. He was 82. John was born in Somerville on February 26, 1929, and had lived for many years in Waltham. Until his retirement, he has worked as a technician for the Raytheon Corporation for over forty years. He was also a Korean War Veteran serving in the United Sates Navy. Husband of the late Gloria S. (Beninati) Almeida who died July, 9, 2010 and the brother of the late Fred and Manuel Almeida. He leaves two daughters, his sister, his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
