Andrew Carroll Attaway, 87, of 2903 Highway 25 South, Greenwood, husband of Louise Coursey Attaway, died May 4, 2008 at NHC, Greenwood. Born in Saluda County, he was the son of Andrew and Minnie Parkman Attaway. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a carpenter with Attaway Builders. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as a deacon for 30 years and was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. Surviving is his wife of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Tullis of Greenwood and Pollie A. Buff of West Columbia; nine grandchildren, two of which were raised in the home, Talmadge and John Attaway. He was preceded in death by a son, Alton C. Attaway; a grandson, Ronnie Joe Lewis and two sisters, Vera Cook and Gertrude Todd Payton.
