Eileen DeCamp was '43 grad of VHS and worked at JC hospital

Eileen DeCamp, 73, of North Vernon, died at 8:55 a.m. Monday, July 5, 1999, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Alistair Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs. DeCamp graduated from Vernon High School in 1943, and was formerly employed at Jennings Community Hospital in the dietary department. She was a member of Vernon Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher there. She also was a member of the American Baptist Women.

Born July 22, 1925, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George Francis and Lorena Webb Snowball.

Survivors include two daughters, Doreen Bentz of North Vernon and Leesa Murrell of Paris Crossing; three brothers, Gene Snowball and Allan Snowball of Indianapolis, and Donnie Snowball of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters Audrey Murphy and JoAnn Richardson of Indianapolis; four grandchildren Rena Duchi of Seymour, Bryan Murrell of Paris Crossing and Andrea Bentz and Andrew Bentz of North Vernon; and four great-grand-children, Jordan Duchi, Ellen Duchi, Joshua Duchi and Morgan Duchi of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Curtis DeCamp; and a brother, George Francis Snowball, Jr.

Memorials may be made to Vernon Baptist Church through the funeral home.
