She grew up in Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School in 1966 and attended Oklahoma State University. She went to work for Delta Airlines in 1970 as a flight attendant, worked 34 years and retired in 2005. She then worked with Wal-Mart and Associates until 2010, then enjoyed full retirement.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Liz; brother, Michael Nicholson; and niece, Stacie Shipman.
She is survived by daughter, Erin Andrus-Lawton and husband, John of Dallas; son, Seth Cody Andrus of San Marcos, Texas; stepdaughter, Stephanie Andrus of Dallas; sister, Donna Shipman and husband, Larry of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brother, Patrick Nicholson and wife, Debbie of Healdton, Oklahoma; two nieces; four nephews; and many other extended family members.
Nancy was a country girl at heart who enjoyed being with family and friends, as well as being an avid sports fan. She loved the outdoors, her pets, gardening and all together loved life. She will be missed by all, especially her laugh and her willingness to always help others.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Midlothian Funeral Home.
A graveside ceremony was held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
