Services for Ronnie Dean Cavitt, 31, were Monday at 2:00 p.m. In the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Bro. William Hunter.
Mr. Cavitt was born May 24, 1965, at Wilson, the son of Bobby and Helen Tackett Cavitt, and died September 13, 1996, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.
A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Cavitt attended both Thackerville and Marietta Schools. He married Jane Watkins August 17, 1984, in Tishomingo. Mr. Cavitt had worked for Hogan Jiffy Lube in Gainesville, Texas, for the past seven years.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Marilyn Cavitt of Marietta and Helen Simmons of Gainesville; his wife, Jane Cavitt of the home in Thackerville; two sons, Craig Cavitt and Brent Cavitt of the home; a daughter, Lora Cavitt of the home; maternal grandparents, Nadine Huey of Gainesville and Owen Clark Tackett of Marble Falls, Texas; two brothers, Donny Cavitt and Charlie Simmons of Gainesville; 11 sisters, Scarlet Yoast and Barbara Ward of Walnut Bend, Texas, Nichole Cavitt and Margie Simmons of Gainesville, Vickie Roper of Lebanon, Jean Alsup of Dickson, Teresa Theobold of New York, New York, Melanie Maggard of Thackerville, Hattie Klein of Ardmore, Melinda Pitts of Lone Grove and Len Gregg of Wylie, Texas.
Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in Burneyville Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Watkins, Tom Yoast, Fred Grice, Randy Watkins, Johnny Jackson and Raymond Sieger. Honorary bearers were Charlie Bourbeau, Audie Jackson, Lonnie Cavitt, Jr. And James Cavitt.
