Reuben T. Conner, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Friday morning, March 4, 2011, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1922, in Mauertown, Va., to Luther Martin and May Elizabeth (Funk) Conner. He married Pauline Summers Oct. 11, 1981.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Pauline; three children, Peggy Summers, Greg (Chris) Summers, and Debra (Lynn) Summers; two grandchildren, Aaron and Aaric Gannon; and three great-grandchildren, Ravyn, Blayz and Juvencia Gannon. His family was the love of his life.

His parents and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Reuben was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Fostoria, and retired as a crane operator from Morgan Engineering in Alliance, Ohio, after 32 years. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, yard work, and attending the grandsons' sporting events. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and watching CNN.

A funeral service is 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Barbara Siegle officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011, at the funeral home.
