Elizabeth Bringhurst Adams, age 89, passed away March 3, 2011, in Hurricane, Utah. She was born July 12, 1921, in Springfield, Idaho, to Benjamin and Bernice Gates Bringhurst.



Elizabeth was born in Springfield and moved to Toquerville, UT at an early age where she attended school in Hurricane and graduated from Dixie High School. She also attended Dixie State College.



Elizabeth married Chester on May 9, 1940, their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They lived in Kanab for a short time and then moved to Toquerville. Elizabeth worked at Zion Lodge, Clifton's Market and Lynn's Market for 50 years.



Elizabeth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held several positions. She loved her family and her grandchildren.



She is survived by her daughter, Hopi Hunt (Barry) of Toquerville, UT; brothers, Benny Bringhurst (Jeannine) of Cedar City, UT, Reed Bringhurst (Margaret) of Hurricane, UT, and Ralph Bringhurst (Shirley) of Idaho Falls, ID; son-in-law, Wesley Cannon (Cheryl) of St. George, UT; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester; daughters, Helen Smith and Darlene Cannon; and grandson, Lance Cannon.
