Olie was born in Ketterman, Grant County, WV. He was the son of Adam Albert Kimble and Lucinda Ellen Self Kimble. In 1946 he married Ella Marie Dean, who survives.

He served in World World II and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Keyser Branch, and Nancy Hanks Post 3518, Veterans of Foreign Wars. survivors; two daughters, Vivian Marie White and Pamela Kenney. one son, Kenneth Kimble. six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
