Esther Regert Anderson, 100, Springfield, was born Nov. 1, 1907, in Scotland, Mo., and passed away Jan. 27, 2008, in Springfield. She attended Pineville High School, Missouri Christian College and Missouri University-Columbia. Esther was a bookkeeper and taught church school for 75 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian and had an honorary life membership in the Presbyterian Women of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Preceding Esther in death were her parents, two sisters and two brothers. On June 7, 1930, she was united in marriage to Hugh Anderson, in Neosho. He survives. She is also survived by children, Barbara (Paul) Thomas and Gerald (Janice) Anderson; grandchildren, Lynn (Ed) Crabtree, Steve Thomas, David Thomas, Elliott (Sharon) Anderson, Austin (Kim) Anderson and Jennifer (Jonathan) Siger; six great-grandchildren; and nieces Louise Whited and Dorothy Richardson. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Fri., Feb. 1, 2008, with a funeral service following at 10 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery Neosho. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
