Margaret Boline, 85, of Vermillion, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center.
Margaret was born on September 20, 1925, in Vermillion to Martin and Edith (Foss) Alne. She graduated from University High School in Vermillion. After graduation she began working the switchboard at the Vermillion Hospital. She worked at the hospital as the receptionist, accountant, and eventually retired as the assistant administrator.
Margaret and Milton Boline began their lifelong commitment and love for each other on November 6, 1953. Their love was one that continued until Margaret's death.
Margaret was involved with the Farm Bureau, 4-H, Auxiliary VFW, and helped or held offices at Dalesburg Lutheran Church, the Friends of Midsummer, and Dalesburg Cemetery Association.
Margaret is survived by her sons, David (Vonnie) Boline of Brookings, SD, and Douglas (Maria) Boline of Annapolis, MD; her grandchildren, Katrina (Nathan) Black of Hanford, CA, Lyndsey (Nathan) Thomas of San Diego, CA, Bryan Boline of Salisbury, MD, and Brett (Lili) Boline of Saratoga Springs, NY; her great-granddaughter Caitlyn Pullen; and ten nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Boline; her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Alne; and her brother, Harold (Ruth) Alne.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, at Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Vermillion.
