He is my maternal Grandfather. He served a short time in the Arkansas National Guard.
He enlisted on 29 Sep 1932 into the MO Nat. Guard, ancestry posted an image of the contract. He crossed to active duty, & served during WW II, Korea and Vietnam. He served over 32yrs., started in the U.S. Army, and retired from the US Air Force as a Master Staff Sargent. As a Veteran myself, I am very proud of his service during those trying times. His brother Harold Lester Ruminer also served in WW II, & was awarded a Purple Heart, & was in the Battle of the Bulge. Their examples, I hope will encourage our future generations to follow in our footsteps. He is father to two children from his first marriage. Daughter, Dorothy Agnes (Ruminer) Wells, and son Raymond Leslie Ruminer Jr. Both are recorded below under Family Links. Ray Jr. also served during Korea and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery his wife Pat is with him. Ray and Dot also have a half sibling, Lee Roy Sebastian Laurent from their mother's second marriage. Ray Sr. also has a daughter from his last marriage, Sharon.
