(We are unsure of when or where in Europe Gust's bio dad, Martin Job, died. He was raised by his step father Fred Hieb from the time he arrived in this country. I don't know if he even remembered his biological father.)

Gust Job was born on July 20, 1899 to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Job at Odessa, Russia(now Ukraine). His father passed away and Gust with his mother came to the United States and settled in the Hosmer-Leola area. On March 19, 1924, he was united in marriage to Christina Kiesz at Leola. In 1925, they moved to a farm southwest of Ipswich in Cleveland Township. He lived there for the next 51 years. He served as a supervisor and clerk of Cleveland Township. He was also on the school board for a time. His wife passed away in 1969. He moved to Ipswich in 1976. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ipswich. He passed away at his home on August 18, 1983. He attained the age of 84 years and 28 days.

He is survived by three stepchildren, Anne Kiesz Heitz, Albert and Alfred Kiesz; five sons, Reinhold, Raymond, Clarence, Walter, and Edwin; five daughters, Virginia Job Peterson, Elaine Job Hornaman, Joan Job Smith, Lila Job Haar, and Janice Job Hammrich; one half-brother, Ferdinand Hieb of Hosmer; 56 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and some great-great granchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one stepson, two half brothers, and four half sisters.
Married widow Christina Gugel Kiesz and raised her first 4 children by Christian Kiesz in addition to the children they had together.
