Evelyn Beatrice Parker Hess was born January 16, 1922 in Llano, Llano County, Texas and died November 6, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. Evelyn's parents were Terrel Scott and Jewell Lovin Whittenberg Parker of Kingsville, Texas.
Evelyn was a graduate of Scott & White Hospital Nursing School, in 1945, Temple, Texas. Mrs. Hess worked as a nurse for many years and retired from nursing about 1982.
Evelyn married Delbert M. Hess in 1944, Temple, Texas and moved to Corpus Christi with her husband and two daughters, in 1953. Evelyn and Delbert have 3 daughters and three son-in-laws, Johnny and Crystal Hess Holt, Mark and Jewell Hess Albright and Joe and Ruby Hess Longoria. Her grandchildren are Amy Dees, Vicky Dees, David Dees, Michael Dees, Brian Dees, Anne Albright Jetton, Mark Albright II, James Albright and Amanda Longoria Christiansen.
After Evelyn retired, she had many hobbies and her favorite was art. She was an accomplised china painter and made many porcelain dolls. Evelyn also painted landscapes and still life in oils.
Mrs. Hess was a long time member of Weber Road Church of Christ.
