Mrs. Ruth Opal Dawson, 81, of Boonsboro, Md., died June 12, at Reeders Memorial Home, Boonsboro.

Born April 2, 1921, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Myrtle Alice Mongold. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Razz" Dawson, May 4, 1995.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce A. Dawson of Hagerstown, Md. and Ricky L. Dawson of Boonsboro; two sisters, Florence Borror of Cresaptown and Virginia Cleaver of Pinto, Md.; two brothers, Delmar Mongold of Crespatown and Donald Mongold of Petersburg; three grandchildren; one great-grandson and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were June 15, at Bast Funeral Home chapel, Boonsboro, with interment in the Boonsboro Cemetery.
