A 30 year old Silver Point farmer was killed apparently instantly Sunday when his car left Hwy 141 N. of
Smithville and overturned several times, crashing into a tree.
Carl Lee Anderson of Silver Point Rt. 1 was found dead pinned in the 1969 car's wreckage about 6:30 yesterday morning. The accident was discovered by a fisherman who was on his way to Center Hill Lake. Anderson apparently fell asleep as his eastbound car left the highway.
Services for Anderson are scheduled for 2:00 tomorrow at Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smellage Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Patricia Maxwell Anderson; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Collie Anderson; a son, Timmy Lee Anderson and a daughter, Beverly Ann Anderson, all of Silver Point; a sister, Linda Carr, and seven brothers; Junior, Bud, Lloyd, Dean, David, and Joe of Silver Point, and Ray Anderson of OH.
