Mrs Susan M Wildt 85 or 421 Lake St Homer widow of Irving Wildt died Thursday at 12 30 am following a brief illness at the home of her daughter in Mission Texas.

She was born June 15 1891 in Eaton Rapids the daughter of Noel and Pearl (Howard) Petrie.

On Dec 31 1920 she married to Irving Wildt in Eaton Rapids.

He preceded her in death in 1970.

Mrs Wildt had been a resident of Homer for many years, but recently she had spent her winters in Texas.

Survivors include, a son George Wildt of Remus, three daughters Mrs Lyle (Pauline Longwell of Mission, Texas, Mrs Selah (Avis) Chapman of Jackson, Mrs Elwood (Pearlnita) Potter of Homer 14 grandchildren and 13 great grand children.

Two son Paul and Noel and a daughter Minnie preceded her in death.

Friends were received at the Homer Chapel of Tidd Williams Funeral Chapels where services were held Saturday at 330 pm with The Rev John T Charter officiating.

Interment in Fisher Cemetery southeast of Homer.

George I. Wildt, 66, formerly of Charlotte, died Monday, July 18, after being stricken at his home at Tubbs Lake, Barryton. Born in Eaton Rapids, he had lived in the area until 1978, when he retired to Tubbs Lake. He was employed as a cement mason, working for the Plaster and Cement Union for 30 years. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Michigan United Conservation Club. Surviving are a son, George Wildt Jr. of Battle Creek; daughters, Barbara Abercrombie of Lake Odessa and Paulette DePue of Charlotte; sisters, Avis Chapman of Jackson, Pearl Potter of Homer and Pauline Longwell of Texas; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services will be at 1 a.m. Thursday at Pray Funeral Home of Charlotte

Mrs. Potter was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women Esther Circle, a member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star-Stella Chapter 140, a member of the Monday Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and a member for more than 25 years of the M-99'rs Square Dance Club. She was an oil painter. She married Elwood K Potter on Sept 12, 1948, in Home He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Gloria J. Potter of Homer; sons, Robert K. Potter of Jackson and Paul N. Potter of Homer; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline Longwell of Mission, Texas, and Avis Chapman of Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, Paul and Noel; and a sister, Minnie. Visitation: Noon to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Homer Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels Inc.
