It's the soldier, not the reporter who has given us Freedom of the Press. It's the soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It's the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It's the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial. It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and whose coffin is draped by the flag.  ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC~ .....Thank you Carman. Rest in peace.

Thank you sir for your military service to our great nation, and for the personal sacrifices you and your family members all made during those times, and that you also 'earned and endured' though-out the followling years of your life. May your words and deeds live forever in the hearts and minds of all your family members, comrades in arms, friends, co-workers and neighbors forever. Like many veterans that served during the Vietnam 'conflict,' their lives changed forever. May God continue to bless all of America's fine men and women who 'wear the uniform' today--serving even now in far away lands and dangerous places. For it is the veterans that know that the our continuing freedoms and liberties that all our citizens continue to enjoy in our country--do not come free! My personal salute to a combat decorated veteran who like thousands of others "did his duty," asking nothing in return; "Present . . . . Arms! Rest in peace comrade, and you are not forgotten.
