Julia, 81, graduated from Glen Allen HS/Richmond 1938 and James Madison University 1942. Served in the U.S. Navy Lieutenant Junior Grade (43-45) as communications officer where she met husband, William Eugene Cox; married 18 Oct 1945. Employed by The Bank of Virginia in Richmond, VA 18 years; 1st female vice-president of the bank. Moved to Southern Shores (early 1970s). Member of Duck Woods Club since 1979 and past chairman of Southern Shores Civic Assoc. Survivors include Jeffrey R. Cox and wife, Maggie of Southern Shores; Anita Marie Foster of Williamsburg; and grandchildren: Colin Cox of Kill Devil Hills and Nicholas, Joshua, and Thomas Foster of Williamsburg.
