Mrs. Cole was born October 26, 1925, in Charleston, SC, and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. In her younger days she loved bowling. She was formerly employed at Hadley's of Weaverville. She was a daughter of the late Herbert and Blanche Platt Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cole, and son, Blackie Cole.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan Ledford and husband Henry of Flat Rock, and Regina Harman of Charlotte; sister, Mervell Brigman of Asheville; grandchildren, Jason Brown, Danny Cole, Shannon Ledford, Erica Stamey, and Angela Roland; great grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah and Lea Ledford.
