Courtney A. Jarrett, age 15, of 38 Island Road, Mill Hall, passed away July 26, 2009 at the Hershey Medical Center, where she was being treated for leukemia.
Courtney was born Jan. 20, 1994 in the Williamsport Hospital and was a daughter of John D. Jarrett of Lock Haven and Stephanie A. Bieber of Mill Hall.
Courtney was a member of the Central Mountain Varsity Cheerleaders, Stand Tall, SADD Club and the Girls on the Run.
Courtney enjoyed cheering and had been a cheerleader since the age of 4.
She had danced for five years with Billy Ross Dance Techniques of Williamsport. Court's favorite past times included text messaging her friends.
Surviving, besides her parents, are a brother, Zachary A. Jarrett, and two sisters, Tiffaney M. and Hailey D. Jarrett, all at home; maternal grandparents Steven and Nancy Bieber Jr. of South Williamsport; paternal grandparents John V. and Connie Jarrett of Williamsport; maternal great-grandparents Steve and Alberta Bieber Sr. of Muncy; aunts Stacie Bieber of South Williamsport and Kimberly Loner of Williamsport; uncles Steven and his wife, Randa Bieber III, of Montandon and Gary and his wife, Meredith Jarrett of Williamsport; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Central Mountain High School auditorium, Mill Hall.
Officiating will be Pastor Benjamin Lins of the Great Island Presbyterian Church, Lock Haven.
Family and friends will be received at Central Mountain High School from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "Courtney Jarrett Cheer Fund" through the funeral home.
The Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, is in charge of the arrangements.
