Mr. Louis, God called you home 35 years ago today. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with athletics. Thank you for the countless memories and moments, which you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, both young and old. Most importantly, thank you for heeding our nation's call and for representing strength, courage, and grace in the face of uncertainty, when you were needed most. You are and will forever remain a pioneer, the true essence of a champion, both in and out of the ring, and a credit to your race, the human race. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always.RIP

Mr. Louis, God called you home 34 years ago this month. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with athletics and the human spirit. Thank you for the countless memories and moments, which you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, young and old. Most importantly, thank you for being a symbol of unwavering courage, strength, and dignity for all people during a time of bigotry, hatred, and uncertainty. Only wish that our country had treated you better for your service and charity. You are and will remain one of the strongest, toughest, and most powerful pugilists the sport has or will ever see, and an example by which all should aspire to emulate. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always.RIP
