Mary Ruth Atkins, 85, of Parkersburg passed away January 15, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Mannington, WV on April 17, 1925 a daughter of the late Harry E. and Margaret E. Crim Villers.

Mary Ruth was a graduate of PHS Class of 1943. She retired from Noe Office Equipment and the WV Unemployment Office in Parkersburg, and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are, one nephew, Douglas (Sandy) Deem of Parkersburg, two nieces, Mary Pat (Richard) Eats of Scotia, NY and Sally (Rod) Schoolcraft of Parkersburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Lewis Atkins, a daughter, Denise Ann Atkins, a sister, Vivian Deem.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Wednesday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Peterson and Deacon Douglas Deem officiating. Burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
At Mary Ruth's request there will be no visitation.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is entrusted with arrangements.
