Clyde Omer "C. O." Browning Jr., 82, of Roswell who passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007, at his home surrounded by the love of his family.

C.O. was born on July 1, 1924 to Clyde Omer Browning Sr. and Anna Belle Blackwell Browning.

He served his country with the United States Army for twenty-five years before retiring. C.O. and Loraine R. Young were married June 29, 1962 at Arlington Hall Station, Arlington, VA; she survives him at the family home. They moved to Roswell thirty-eight years ago from Lyme, Connecticut. C.O. was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, enjoyed classical music, old movies, and his family.

In addition to his wife, Loraine, C.O. is survived by his grandsons, Chris Sanchez, Jonathan M. Hernandez, Steven L. Hernandez, and Anthony C. Hernandez; granddaughter, Loryanne N. Hernandez; great-grandsons, Santiago J. Sanchez, Robert E. Guerin Jr., and Albert Sanchez; great-granddaughter, Kathryn E. Sanchez; all of Roswell; sister, Jean Schroeder of Lee's Summit, MO; and son-in-law, John Hernandez of Roswell.

C.O. was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn Browning Hernandez, and his parents, Clyde and Anne Belle Browning.
