GREAT FALLS - Graveside services for Mr. Hazel Llewellyn "Lou" Ferguson of 5407 William Martin Road will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in Greenlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Cameron, the Rev. Brian Hovis and the Rev. Marion Dry officiating.

Mr. Ferguson, 77, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at his home.

Born in Lando on May 9, 1930, he was a son of the late George Franklin Ferguson and Willie Lenora Wallace Ferguson. A graduate of Lewisville High School, Mr. Ferguson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from Celanese Fibers Company. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Raye Koon Ferguson; two daughters, Melanie F. Merchant and her husband, Ralph, of York and Cecilia F. Henson and her husband, Billy, of Great Falls; one granddaughter; two grandsons; two step-granddaughters; three sisters, Loretta Rockholt and her husband, Newton, of Lando, Brenda Hannon and her husband, Jim, of West Bridgewater, Mass. and Clineth Ann Carnes and her husband, Grover, of Oxford, Ga.; and three brothers, Olin Ferguson and his wife, Cathy, of Chester, Leon Ferguson and his wife, Margaret, of Branden, Fla. and Arnold Ferguson and his wife, Jane, of Lilburn, Ga.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Lee Ferguson, Troy Ferguson and George Marion Ferguson; and three sisters, Faye and Kay Ferguson and Gladys Hough.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 412 North White St., Lancaster, SC 29720; or to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202.
