-The funeral for Mr. Lynn Dale Alexander of 1446 Carlisle White Road was conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, May 18, at First Baptist Church of Chester. The Rev. Clay Waldrip and the Rev. Mike Shaffer officiated and burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery. Flags were presented by the Chester Fire Department Color Guard.
-Mr. Alexander, 58, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 16, 2009.
-A son of Faye Yarborough Alexander and the late Neil Grant Alexander of Chester, Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 2003 as a lieutenant from the Chester Fire Department, where be began his career in 1976. Mr. Alexander was also a member of First Baptist Church of Chester.
-Survivors include his wife, Hazel Nichols Alexander; a brother, Neil G. Alexander Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Chester; a sister, Linda A. McKeown and her husband, Bob, of Rock Hill; and five nieces and nephews.
-Pollard Funeral Home, 115 York St., Chester, was in charge of arrangements.
