Eula V Compton Barker was a daughter of Silas Monroe Compton and Rosa Frances Warner. Eula married Harold Ostel Barker on 11 February 1920 in Faubush, Pulaski, Kentucky, ceremony performed by J.O. Sutherland at his home in Faubush, KY. Witnesses were Levi Burkett, Joe Barker, and others.
She was sister to; Bessie Mae, Chester Arthur, Carthal Leon, Minnie Elmo, Mattie Dora, Ruby Jack, Brent F, John "Johnnie" W, Helen G, Herschel Glenn, and Rosie.

If there were children born to this marriage, they are unknown.

The obituary reads;
EULA BARKER

Eula Barker, 85, Faubush, died Friday, Jan. 17, at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland following a brief illness. She was born in Pulaski County on May 8, 1900, the daughter of the late Silas and Rose Warner Compton. she was a housewife, member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, attended New Hope Baptist Church for the past five years, and was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years.

She came here from Humboldt County, Iowa, where she lived for 33 years, in 1952. Survivors include her husband, Ostel Barker, whom she married on Feb. 1, 1920; two brothers John Compton, Bronston, and Hershel Compton, Pinellas Park, Fla.; and a sister, Helen Barker, Nancy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Brent, Carthel, Minnie, Ruby, and Chester Compton, and two Sisters, Bessie Jasper and Mattie Wilson.

Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Harris and Bro. Harlan Avera officiating.

Burial will be a Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
