Gwendolyn Rich Sharpe is the daughter of Stanley Rich and Kathrine Whittle.

GWEN SHARPE

Gwen Rich Sharpe, 80, died Sept. 17,1995, in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier. She was born May 23, 1915, in Paris, daughter of Standley Hunter and Kathryn (Whittle) Rich.

In her early years she taught tap dancing to many area youngsters. Her Miss Rich Dance Review was preformed on stage the Rich Theater. She graduated with a degree in History and Education from the University of Utah.

Gwen married Charles Tennyson Sharpe of Axtell, Ks., on May 2,1941.

She taught school in Wardboro, Georgetown and at A.J. Winters Elementary. She retired in 1978.

Gwen is survived by two children,Barbara Sharpe Zinkevicz of Cheyenne, Wyo., and John Rich Sharpe of Colorado Springs, Co. Other surviving members include two daughters-in-law, Fay LaRocco Sharpe and Sheila Grandy Sharpe, and one son in-law, Ted Zinkevicz. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Melissa,Duve, Michelle Zinkevicz, Stephanie Hanover, Natalie, Tiffany and Tennyson Sharpe and three great
grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, VaLeen Rich, Mildred Sharpe, Harriet Sharpe Windquist and Dolores Sharpe Alfers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Tennyson Sharpe, one son, Bryon S. Sharpe and one brother, Keith Whittle Rich.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel in Montpelier. Friends may call that morning from 11:30 a.m to 12:45 p.m. and the burial
will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
