Mr. Hunter, God called you home 13 years ago today. You were ,are, and will always represent everything which is right with the national pastime. Thank you for the memories and moments you have and continue to provide for generations of fans, young and old. You are and will remain one of the most talented, competitive, and classiest players the game has or will ever see. It would have been the greatest honor to have met and worked with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always. RIP

"Catfish" Hunter pitched a "perfect game" in 1968. You and the (now) 21 other "perfect game" pitchers are truly in a "League of Your Own".

Happy Belated Birthday, Mr. Hunter. My deepest apologies for the tardiness of this post. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with the national pastime. You are and will remain one of the most talented, toughest, and most dominant pitchers of this or any generation. Thank you for all of the unforgettable moments, both on and off the diamond. It would have been the greatest honor to meet and work with you. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always. RIP

Won 224 games with a great nickname (made up) but everyone knew who he was...one of the very few to pitch a perfect game...retired in his prime and would have been a 300 game winner without a doubt...ironically it was a disease made infamous fron another Hall of Famer that would claim his life way too soon..RIP "CATFISH"...

Mr Hunter, Will forever remember the great games I would watch you pitch at the Coluseum. I was glad to have met and shaken your hand along with other greats who have played the game. I was at the game the day they retired your jersey number in Oakland. RIP #27 you were one of the greats.

Mr. Hunter, God called you home 12 years ago this month. You were, are, and will always represent everything which is right with the national pastime. You were and will remain one of the most talented, competitive, and classiest players the game of baseball has or will ever see. Almost had the chance to meet you, and will forever regret the missed opportunity. May God continue to bless and watch over you and those you love then, now, and always. RIP
