MRS. GILMORE TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Mary Ann Gilmore, age 86 years, widow of the late John Gilmore, died at 9 o’clock Wednesday evening at her home, 712 west 6th street. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Thofas Todd and Mrs. Roscoe Harris, of this city, William M. Todd, of Heltonville, and Perry Todd, of Heltonville; five stepchildren, John and James Gilmore, Mrs. Marion Robertson and Mrs. J. L. Robertson, of this city, and Mrs. Charles Parnell, of Frankfort, 23 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Her husband, known as “Uncle John” Gilmore and for many years proprietor of Uncle John’s Cabin, died three years ago last November.

Mrs. Gilmore was born March 11, 1843. Her maiden name was Mary Ann Siscoe. On April 7, 1860 she was married to Elijah Todd, who died February 7, 1892. She was married to John Gilmore February 14, 1895. She was a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the First Christian church, in charge of the Rev. Harry Bridwell, of the Clear Creek Christian church.
