Manistique resident Gerald F.
Casey, 79 died May 5, 1993 at
Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 21, 1913
in Fayette to George and Anna
(Grathen) Casey.

The greater part of his life was
spent in the Fairport and
Manistique areas. He attended
school in Fairport. He was a mem-
ber of St. Peter the Fisherman
Catholic Church, Fayette,
Manistique Moose Lodge No.
1972, Michigan fish producers
Association and former member of
the Garden Lions Club and
Manistique Elks Lodge No. 632.
He was a lifetime commercial
fisherman and the previous owner
of Casey and Sons Fisheries of
Manistique and Fairport.

On May 2,1939 he married the
former Genevieve F. Killoran in
Garden.

In addition to his wife, "Jenny"
of Manistique, he is survived by
three sons, Michael (Ann) Casey,
John (Karen) Casey and Calvin
(Tina) Casey all of Manistique;
three daughters, Ronda (Arnold)
Ferguson of Jerome, MI, Carla
King of Manistique and Cindy
(John) Bondy of Lansing; a sister ,
Beatrice (Freeman) Herbert of
Fairport; 12 grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a daughter,
Mary Lynn in 1958,three broth-
ers, Leslie, Adson and Norman
Casey and one sister, Vida
Ranguette.

Funeral services were held
Saturday at Messier-Broullire
Funeral Home with Fr. James
Menapace officiating. Burial was
at New Garden Cemetery.
