Funeral services for Genevieve Braun of Morris, formerly of Donnelly will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in St. Theresia's Catholic Cemetery in Donnelly.

Genevieve Anna Loehr, daughter of William and Beatrice (Koster) Loehr, was born February 5, 1922 in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and received her schooling in the Morris area. In 1939, she was married to William Logan. Following their marriage the couple lived in the Donnelly area, where they farmed and to this, union five children were born. William died in 1959. On October 8, 1960, she married William Braun. The couple farmed in the Donnelly area until retiring. Following their retirement, they moved to Morris, where they have continued to live since that time.

Genevieve was a member of St. Theresia's Catholic Church in Donnelly. When it closed she became a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. She enjoyed fishing, working in her flower garden and driving the tractor in the field. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Genevieve died on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 88 years.

She is survived by her husband: William Braun of Morris; two daughters: Dee Dee (Tim) Hoaas of Maplewood and Dianne Kellenberger of Hancock; one daughter-in-law: Carol Logan of Roseville; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Deloris Braun, Kathy (Clarence) Elgin, Marlyn Loehr and Janet Loehr; one brother: William (Marjean) Loehr and sister-in-law: Elaine Loehr. She was preceded in death by three sons: Donald, David and Dennis Logan; her parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers for the service are: Jerry Logan, Mike Loehr, Carter Charles, Paul Kopel, Dick Rath and Jeff Miller. Deb Mahoney will serve as pianist for the service with Holly Giese serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
