Warren A. "Jack" Sharp, 90, of Lufkin, was born September 4, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of the late Katie Elizabeth (Dezelle) and Ernest C. Sharp. He passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mr. Sharp was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific as a sergeant in the United States Marines. He had a great love for the State of Texas. Mr. Sharp was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include his wife, Dixie Charlene Sharp of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John David and Elaine Sharp of Fort Worth; daughter, Laura Lee Sharp of Fort Worth; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Curlee.

Graveside services for Mr. Sharp will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Berry Cemetery, with Bro. Jimmy Runnels officiating.
