Mary King Barnes, 83 of Hulaco area of Joppa died Friday, June 20, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Barnes was born October 16, 1930 in Cullman County, the daughter of William D. and Ina E. King of the Baileyton community. She was a retired seamstress with the H. D. Lee Plant in Guntersville and after retirement worked part time at Wilson Fabrics in Arab. She has called the Hulaco area of Joppa her home for the past 52 years.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Pat Barnes and Danny and Charlotte Barnes; two daughters and a son-in-law: Sandra Grace and Sharon and Thomas Spruiel; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a sister: Wiladean Brothers and preceded in death by her husband: James R. Barnes (January 20, 2012) and a son: Michael Lawayne Barnes.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Randy Blakely, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Barnes, Lamar Grace, Danny Holloway, Michael Light, Thomas Spruiel and Jason Warnix.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. also on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

The Family would like to express a special thanks to the Angels on Earth, Joyce Parmer and Wendy Bagwell who were her special friends in her time of need.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hospice of Marshall County Shepherd's Cove, 408 Martling Road; Albertville, AL 35951.
