ATON, WILLIAM F. "BILL," 77, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010.

He was a retired employee of South Central Bell, where he worked 38 years and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Telephone Pioneers, Athenem Literary Society, and Ducks Unlimited. Bill was a graduate of Male High School, where he played football and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a former member of the Highland American Legion Post 201.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth O'Brien Aton; his brother, Col. Bert B. Aton; and his parents, William F., Sr. and Zelma Benton Aton.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura and her husband Michael Reinhardt and two granddaughters, Madison Elizabeth and Mary Mackenzie Reinhardt.

The funeral service will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
