BURNETTE, Lois Cannaday, 71, of Cloverdale, died Saturday, August 6, 1994. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Alice Ash Cannaday and her husband, Barney A. Burnette. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Doug and Karen Burnette, Alvin E. Burnette, all of Cloverdale, two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Andy Kurtinitis, Annapolis, Md., Teresa and Richard Spencer, Roanoke; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Nannie J. Burnette Forrest; also several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 1994 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. H. Fleet Powell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad or to the America n Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
