Annette Logan Burk was the daughter of Robert Logan and Annette Harbs, the names of which were put on her marriage license when she married the 2nd time to John Crimen after Joseph, her first husband died. There is some speculation that she had other parents names that died right after Annete was born. This is possible because she stated that her parents were from South Carolina but we have never found any proof . Other members of the family stated that her parents had different names which is possible. Annette married Joseph A. Burk on Sept. 14, 1867 in New Orleans, La. She was married by the First Justice of the Peace. Her parents names were not on there. Annette was the mother of six sons, Joseph Henry, John Alexander, Alfred Theodore, James Augustine, Theodore Raymond, and William Richard. she was the mother of four daughters, Sophie Annette Klevorn,Eliza Ann LaSalle (Paxton), Clara Jones, and Ada Caroline Nolan. She was 69 years old.
