Born at West Point on April 29, 1869, the daughter of Simeon (sic) and Margaret Etka, she was married on July 15, 1890 at West Point.
A member of the Presbyterian church, she lived in Burlington for many years until the death of her husband on Feb 9, 1953. Since that time, she made her home with her daughter.
Surviving are a son, William, Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Consbrock, Ames, and Mrs. Mabel Nordblad, Fort Madison. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services are pending. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery, Fort Madison. Arrangements are in charge of Prugh's chapel.
