A private family Mass of Christian Burial for Edward L. Yoe, 75, will be held on May 30th, 2009, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine, Ohio. Military Honors will be conducted by the Logan County Honor Guard at the Calvary Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Mr. Yoe formerly resided in Aurora for many years. He passed away Friday, May 15th, 2009 at Dearborn County Hospital.

Mr. Yoe was employed at the Aurora Casket Company for 34 years as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Yoe served his country in the US Navy and was an honorably discharged Veteran of the Korean War. He later was awardedthe "Dolphins" distinction while serving an a submarine. He also attained the position of Quartermaster (QM2) on the USS Pickerel. Mr. Yoe was a 32year member of the Harold Kerr Post of the American Legion, Bellfontaine. After his discharge he then pursued a Bachelor's degree at Bowling Green State University, Toledo, Ohio in Business Administration.

Mr. Yoe is survived by his two children; Shelley McAdams Havlin of Aurora and Marc Yoe of Moores Hill; and 5 grandchildren; Ryan, Markie, Taylor, Shelbi, and Sydney.
