James Brads was the appointed preacher for Warrenton 1846-47. Born Jan. 18, 1813, he was admitted to Baltimore MEC on trial in 1836, ordained a Deacon in full connection in 1838, and ordained an Elder in 1841. He preached under MEC appointment 37 years (1836-40, 1841-74), superannuated (retired) in 1840 & 1874, and died Dec. 18, 1887, in Orange, N.J.—he is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Baltimore. His other appointments were Gettysburg, Moorefield, Wardensville, Christiansburg, Concord, Williamsburg, Frederick Circuit, Westmoreland, York Springs, Boonsboro, Danville, York-Codorus Mission, York, and Whatcoat (Baltimore) in Baltimore MEC (1836-59); East Baltimore MEC (1859-69); and, in Baltimore MEC (1869-74), Wesley Chapel (Baltimore, supply), Gorsuch (Washington), Conf supply, and Madison Ave (Baltimore, supply).
