Madeline F. Coe 83, of Springfield, formerly of Mechanicsburg , died Tuesday at Heritage Manor Healthcare.
She was born March 11, 1914, in Edinburg, the daughter of Burton Harvey and Bonnie Belle Dixley Jones. She married L. Garvey Coe in 1936, in Edinburg; he preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Coe worked in the accident report division with the Illinois State Police and retired after 12 years of service.
She was a member of Mechanicsburg Christian Church since 1936 and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Illiopolis.
Survivors: a son, Richard L. Coe of Mechanicsburg ; a daughter, Bonnie S. Coe of Springfield; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg , the Rev. Dori Dana Hudson officiating. Burial: Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
