Chester, April 25,-Mrs. Mahaley Gregory Austin, died at their home a few miles north of Chester at the age of 65 years, she died rather suddenly and her susuddenly and her sudden passing caused immense sorrow among her many friends. the funeral services were conducted by the Rev. William G. Moore, D.D., pastor of the first baptist church, and the interment was made at Evergreen Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, Woodward Austin, Mrs. Austin is survived by five sons, as follows; Fuller Austin of near chester, Tresdan Austin, Durham Austin and Sam Austin, all of Gastonia, N.C., and by two brothers William Gregory and James Gregory of Spartanburg.
