KINGSVILLE — Beverley J. Simone, age 81, of Mill St., Conneaut, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 8, 1928, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Laura (Lamont) Cool and she graduated from Conneaut High School class of 1948.
Beverley co-owned and operated Simone's Golden Dawn along with her husband Samuel for many years. She was also employed with the Conneaut AAA and the Astatic Corporation.
Mrs. Simone was a member of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching their games, taking them out to eat and going on trips with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Worley (Dave Naykki) of Conneaut; grandchildren, Karen (John) Jones of Conneaut, Kellie (Kirk) Giles of Kingsville and Laura (Ben) Ring of Conneaut; great-grandchildren, Kadie, Kaleb and Kody Giles, Kori Thompson and Allie Jones; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter Wickersham, Julius "Ceaser" Yesso and Samuel Simone; son R.J. Yesso; sister, Jane Krahe; and a brother, James Cool.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 30th at the THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Robert F. Leonard, officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29th, at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice for Beverley's care.
Memorials may be given to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
