Cumby, Hopkins Co., Texas, May 11. --- Mrs. W. E. Adair died in a Greenville sanitarium and was buried here. She was born at this place, then known as Black Jack Grove, March 1, 1888, and before her marriage was Miss Lucy Center, a daughter of W. F. Center, who for nearly fifty years conducted a blacksmith shop and who is still living at the advanced age of 88 years. Funeral service was conducted by the Rev. H. B. Cash, assisted by the Rev. Lockett Adair of Lone Oak, after which her body was buried in Cumby Cemetery.
