The Treutlen County native was raised in Bulloch County and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sisters, Flossie Mae White, Trenton, N.J., and Lonnie Dell Martin, Edgefield, S.C.; and six brothers, Lonnie Young, West Palm Beach, Fla., Billy Brown, Philadelphia, Edgar Brown, Camden, N.J. and Oneil Young, Charlie Young and L.C. Young, all of Statesboro.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Canty officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
